Florida Sandal

I love this style with the thinner straps as a slightly more refined, feminine alternative to the chunkier Arizona, but without the toe loop of Mayari. The sandcastle color is a perfect versatile taupe that works with pretty much any color outfit. I also love that the straps and footbed are all one color making these sleeker and less “Birkenstock” looking. I walk a lot living in NYC and have spine issues, I wanted a more supportive sturdy sandal that would still look okay with jeans, maxi skirts etc (I’m in my 20s). The low rating on these should be ignored. Several of the reviews are irrelevant rants, or complaints from people unfamiliar with Birkenstocks and the break-in process. The review saying the footbed is hard and “not the same quality” as other Birkenstocks clearly is not familiar with the two styles - soft footbed and hard/original footbed. These are the original footbed. Longer to break-in but more durable. These were my first Birkenstocks and I made sure to read about the proper break-in process and i was able to wear these comfortably after only a few days, but it did require some thought and effort getting the right size, adjusting the straps properly, wearing with socks etc. Once broken in, they are comfortable and effortless. I even feel my entire posture chain (feet/ankles/knees/back) improve when wearing.
