Emery Long Sleeve Sequin Cocktail Midi Dress

Though I thought this dress was going to be a stunner but its construction proved to be a disappointment. It's at least two layers thick and feels like you're wearing a scuba suit. I was so hot while trying it on, I couldn't bear to even put on accessories -- I just had to get the thing off! Also, based on the picture of the black dress, I thought it was knee-length. Nope, it's a midi dress and hits right where your calves are the thickest. (See the picture of the Lilac dress.) While this isn't a deal breaker, it's a miss style-wise. Though I have an hourglass figure, I still felt like I was wearing a long, sequined tube. However, the fit was right on: I'm 5'5" and 144 lb and I ordered the medium.

Love the material, it is thick like other reviewers have said. The fit was snug but comfortable. My issue was the length of the dress and the sleeves- They were too long for me to keep it or justify paying for alternations on top of the cost of the dress. For reference I am 5’2”, 120 lbs and ordered a small.
