Addina Platform Mary Jane (Women)

In theory, they look cute. Doc Marten's are already notoriously heavy and rigid shoes. These Mary Janes with a thick platform sole are so heavy, and not evenly distributed weight like in a boot, but held by the toe and a strap. I wouldn't recommend for a long day of walking. They are super cute and well made, but not at all practical. I was limping after wearing them all day. Not kidding.

I have wide feet and these fit perfect, is a little on the heavier side but I just have to tighten it really well so it will be more comfortable. I didn't need to break them in, I wore them in my office setting job and so far I have no blisters, I wore them without socks. I don't think I would wear them for long walks just because they are heavier, but same with my other martens platforms. So far I'm happy with my purchase. Also it was on a sale price (cheaper than dr martens website).

So I had an interesting time getting my hands on these shoes. My first order I received the wrong pair of shoes, in fact it was a pink crystal Steve Madden heel that was sent instead. Had a difficult time with the cashier at my local Nordstrom trying to return them after customer service said they couldn’t send me the correct shoe that I would have to return and repurchase. Once the manager came up to see what the issue was it was quickly resolved and I received my refund. The second pair of shoes were scratched and scuffed along the toe box but also too small. So back to return them, at this point I almost gave up on getting the shoe. But I ordered the next size up and unfortunately they came with scratch marks as well but they weren’t obvious unless you stared at my feet. Not bad enough for me to go through all that for a forth time. I really ended up liking the fit of the shoe and got compliments so I guess buyer beware 🤷🏽‍♀️
