Pointed Toe Knee High Boot (Women)

I agree with the other reviewers that this boot is almost perfect but it is a miss for me. It is not just petite ladies who have a hard time finding narrow calf boots. I am 5'7 with 13.5 inch calves and it is very difficult to find boots that fit my calves snuggly without a huge gap at the back. Every fall I am on the hunt and almost never find what I am looking for. Suede is typically the only thing that will give a snug fit. Add to that the fact that I have been looking for chocolate suede boots for years and I thought these might finally be the answer. For me, the shaft is a little too short. It came a few inches below my knee and would have preferred a bit higher, like 15.5 or 16 inches. Also, as others indicate, the shaft slouches and bags rather than fitting snuggly on the leg. The heel height was perfect and these are very comfortable, particularly as they are pointed toe, and I love the rubber sole for winter. Such a bummer. The Cassidy style fit my legs better so I will likely keep those, but I actually prefer this pointy toe style better and I think these are more comfortable than the Cassidy. Also, I am happy to pay more for real suede (these are not real suede) that fits properly. I don't know why manufacturers do not understand this.

These are beautiful boots, if it stays up! When I tried these on, the boot sagged around my ankle and I really don’t like that look lol. My calves are 12.5” so if the shafts weren’t soft and stretchy, a 13” shaft would be perfect. The only way it can stay up is if your calf is 13” - 14.5”. I think if your calf is too large then it will not look right.

I thought these were beautiful. The heel has. Beautiful detail on the outside and another one on the inside facing the sole. I appreciated that attention to detail. It also was comfortable - felt like enough room in the toe box even though it was oinked toe. KThe issue for me is that it is a pull on style and so the way it stays up one’s calf is by gripping the thigh. Even though they fit right, it pushed my leg in leaving some to fall over the top- like a muffin top on the calf. If that stretched out so the muffin top goes away, then I think it could be slouchy and fall down. And, you wouldn’t be able to wear these over leggings/pants because they were so form-fitting. Still, beautiful details and construction- I’ll be looking for more of Donald Pliner’s designs.
