Crinkle Tie Waist Midi Dress

The dress appears well made and is decent fabric. It has pockets and a nice hidden zipper on the side . Unfortunately the sleeves are too skimpy and don't hang properly due to a strange pair of gathers at the top of each sleeve and a much too small facing on the inside. So moving your arms makes them hike up and the elastic keeps them up there. The elegant drape one looks for is simply not there . The front has a pair of pleats that skim the waist and make the dress look slimmer, it would have been quality and proper construction to mirror those on the back but I guess that cost too much. The weird belt looks like it should be on a size 4 dress rather than the size 10 I purchased it's ugly and it's much too short to tie up and look proper. Lastly the print is a little bigger than I thought it was going to be but still mostly okay. It is not just black and white there is a strange pale tan brownish under pattern running through the black and white which I personally could have lived without. It's a pretty dress in a way, just a miss on a few key elements. I don't wear dresses very often and when I do they need to look great and meet my standards which this one simply doesn't. It's a return.
