As you can see in the pictures, I ordered 4 pairs, two of these and two 70s with a different, lighter blue. For each type, one is true to size and one is 1/2 smaller. That said, this is my experience: 1) Don't go for 1/2 size smaller. In both models the true size feels much better. Yes, the length of the smaller one fits, but it feels too snug, too tight; even for my feet that are not wide.at.all! On the true size, my feet have some room, but IMO that's how they should really feel. Comfortable. In the smaller ones, I feel as if blood circulation is disturbed. 2) Not only these ones FEEL much, much better than the 70s, they look better too. The padding that as shown in the pics is quite emphasized in the tongue, is kind of with a less exaggerated ratio applies to the whole sides and the insole of the shoes. I was concerned with overheating in them, but there's nothing really to be concerned about. They are just much more comfortable, and right enough padded. About the looks, of course this can be quite a personal preference, but I think these look pretty better than the 70s. I don't have much against the blue tone on the 70s, but the shine on the whites, looks really hideous, especially when it sits next to the matte white of these ones. So don't hesitate if confused between choosing these or the 70s, or true size vs 1/2 smaller. You will have a big smile with these on your feet, just like mine :)
