Packable Hooded Rain Jacket

I bought this jacket for a long vacation. I loved that it was packable, so it wouldn’t take up much room. Lucky me, it was sunny for the first 3/4 of our vacation, but then there was a very rainy day, where we were going to be walking around London. I used the zippered pockets for my essentials, including my little wallet, phone, and hotel key card. As I often do when I have my wallet in a pocket, I stuck my hand in to check the contents. Shockingly I discovered a hole! Which quickly became larger as my fingers explored! Now, all my contents in the other pocket, it started pouring rain. So I pulled up the hood and started to mess with the drawstring to make the hood more fitted, and the cord broke immediately! Ok, so now I think as soon as I get home I’ll return this crazy jacket. So disappointed because it’s a nice brand name. But no — I’m outside of the return window and if they did accept the return I’d lose half the sale price plus $9.95 shipping. I live in a tiny town about 2 hours from the nearest physical Rack, so I guess I am now the owner of a rain coat that does in fact repel the rain, I just can’t use the pockets or the hood!
