True to size or runs large
The coat looks great in person — better than the pics. I bought navy and Merlot. The coat is Heavy weight and feels like it will be really warm. I ordered a size up based on reviews and the websites recommendation to size up. Mistake. I would guess the manufacturer made some size adjust for 2023 because many of the “runs small” comments were from prior seasons. I am consistently a size S in most coats / tops. I bought medium. I am returning the medium and ordering S and XS to try next. The hood is HUGE as others have noted and the zipper a little undersized, but I can live with it. This is a Good to great down coat overall. Would recommend!

The hood is just too big for my liking
I so badly wanted to love this coat. And I did love everything about it. But the hood. It was just too big. If the hood had been smaller or even detachable, i would have kept the coat. It was warm. I thought the style was flattering. The blue color was great. But, sadly the hood was a deal breaker for me. I returned it.

The material is good quality, but the zipper is poor because it stuck every time. Can’t understand why they put such a cheap/defective zipper on such a nice coat. It’s super warm and the color Navy is gorgeous. But it’s snug. I got into it but it would never be comfortable. Kind of surprised at Cole Haan, because they usually have such good quality apparel. Returned it...

Stunning Jacket
This jacket is stunning and looks even better in person. After reading reviews I decided to order one size up. When I tried it on with layers that I would wear on a cold winter day, it fit just right, so those reviews recommending to purchase up a size were right on point. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is I’m worried about the longevity of this jacket. The zippers are very stiff. I don’t know if they will loosen over time or if they’ll end up breaking. I will be keeping this jacket and hope for the prior.

Nice jacket but runs small
I always wear a woman's M and I have another Cole Haan jacket but this one seemed to run small. It was pretty tight on me so I ended up having to return it.
