Adalynn Hope Knee High Boot

I always trust my feet with Clarks shoes. I have wide feet and the style and size is perfect. True to size! I’m also short and the boots are below my knee. I love them.

I normally wear an 8-8.5 in Clarks. and ordered both sizes to be sure. Unfortunately, it was impossible to even get on the size 8, and even the 8.5 boots were so short that my toes were uncomfortably up to the very tip. Also the finish on the interior of one boot heel was very poorly done, making the interior extremely rough and irritating;; plus the reinforcement around one heel was very and unforgiving. Since I knew they were absolutely going to tear up my feet, they went right back. The photos are a bit deceptive and donʻt really show it well, but there is a strip of elasticized fabric that runs from under the buckles all the way down the outer side of the boot. Not for me!

These boots run true to size which is not always the case with Clarks these days. The shaft fits my full calf comfortably and the foot bed offers the comfortable feel that you hope will come with a Clarks purchase. What I do not like is that although these boots are supposed to be leather, they do not look like leather, they look like faux leather and so I question what they are made of. The color is dull and unimpressive. Perhaps if you oil them, they would take on a new look? If I oil them, I cannot return them so I have not made up my mind yet. Overall, outside of good fit and comfort, I find these boots to be unremarkable.
