Puff Sleeve Ponte Dress

The good is that the quality of this dress is nice. It’s a little thick but in a good way so that it appears structured. The bad is that it runs small and the proportions are off. I’m a true 6 and sometimes a 4 but I sized up to a medium based on reviews and it was snug in the waist and hips. The style is a bit of a fit and flare but the “fit” extended past the natural waist and the “flare” didn’t quite flare so the whole thing just looks a little off on me. The bodice is also large on me (A cup here) so sizing up to make the bottom fit would not have worked at all for the top half of the dress. I’m gonna see if my daughter likes it but otherwise it will be going back.

This dress is very cute and I got a ton of compliments. The fabric is heavier but perfect for early spring (and will be for fall). Also runs a little small. But my 3-star review stems from the fact that the back seam of the dress completely came apart while I was at a work event. Had I not been wearing black spanx, it would have been BAD. I had to go to the bathroom to staple the back together and get through the evening. Maybe I just got a dud, but it was not ideal, and then I had to pay $$ to get the dress fixed.
