Gauze Wide Leg Pants

Let me preface this with saying for generations gauze had multiple uses for newborns, appreciated for its softness. Burp cloths, diapers, sheets. That said, this was given a rating of slightly small — while the leg is wide the waist and hip cut is unflatteringly tight. Also, the “gauze” is not of a good soft quality. Nothing about it has the double fabric feel. I own gauze items from two major labels that I adore for comfort and their breathable qualities in the swelter of summer. However, two recent purchases from Rack, different labels described as gauze, have been sub par and fail to have the traditional expected softness of true gauze. Cannot recommend. Especially if you’re seeking comfort.

On my first time wearing these out the seam around the pocket ripped. It’s so noticeable because it’s right in front and didn’t even realize it ripped until I got out of the car at my destination. It was so embarrassing and even though they were loose fitting and comfortable I would not recommend these at all. I really did expect better quality from this brand and unfortunately from Nordstrom rack there isn’t anything that can be done. I was getting ready to purchase in other colors and I’m so glad I didn’t. I bought a similar version, same brand in blue the same day and those were a much better fit and quality for some reason. Anyhow skip these specific pants and avoid an embarrassing situation (so glad it at least didn’t rip from another area leaving me exposed)!
