Juliette Wide Leg Pants

Was very excited when I ordered these pants, the wide lead look is so in and I don’t have any nice navy pants. Needless to say I was disappointed when they showed up and the waist looks like the size of a six-year-old. Not sure how extra small equates to an 18 inch waist (see pics, 9 inches across) but I could not even get them on, I have a 24 inch waist. Not only that but they are WAY over-the-top wide leg and WAY too long. Even if I were to keep them I would have to take the wide leg in and hem the length pretty significantly. Too much work for a $30 pair of pants. Returning them.

I should have paid closer attention to the measurements. I am 5'7", weigh 119 and ordered size small, my usual size. They were pretty snug/difficult to pull up over my hips and I felt I could have gone up to medium. But the length is ridiculous. They are made for high heels but my highest heel still had the pants fully touching the floor and I'm not interested in wearing super high heels in order for these to work. The model shown here must be closer to 6' tall. Also, the waist is a 15.5" rise!! It was3 inches above my belly button. Fabric was stretchy and decent but thinner than expected and not much compression around the waist to hold you in. These were just too odd for me. I'm guessing they'd be great for very tall shoppers but anyone under 5'9" shouldn't bother.

I was on the hunt for long, wide leg pants and was skeptical when I saw these as they're so inexpensive. When I saw the inseam was 34.5" I decided to give them a shot as I am 6' tall..... Wow! These pants are AMAZING! I typically buy size small pants but these were a little too tight. I was still able to pull them up as the fabric is extremely stretchy and high quality! I immediately went back and purchased the black and navy in a size medium including the matching tops. I have no idea how these are not sold out! If they had more colors I would buy every single one.

These pants are fabulous! The fabric is heavy without being hot or unbreathable. The seam adds interest and gives them polish which also allows them to be dressed up or down. Yes, they are long. Yes, you will need to have them hemmed. Why is this still such a strange concept for people? You’re buying clothing off the rack, of course it’s not going to fit you in length; it’s being made for a million people. That said, these pull on style pants are comfortable and they do not have the crumpled elastic in the back. Everything is smooth in the waist, just stretchy. I am 5’5” and had about 4-5” taken off and they look great. I adore a palazzo style pant. For these, I chose to have them done at a shorter length to wear with flats and Birks. I recently wore them with big buckle Birks and a crop, long sleeve, light weight shirt and got so many compliments. Just buy them!
