My Burberry Eau de Parfum

I really wanted to love My Burberry—the story behind it, the bottle design, even the inspiration of a London garden after the rain—it all sounds beautiful. But unfortunately, the scent just didn’t work for me. On first spray, I got a rush of sweet floral notes that felt a bit overwhelming. The jasmine and candied rose combination came across as too sugary and synthetic on my skin, rather than soft or romantic. It lacked the freshness I usually enjoy in florals and instead felt heavy, almost cloying. As it settled, the patchouli and amber tried to ground it, but the overall blend never quite balanced for me. There was a powdery sweetness that lingered and reminded me more of an old-fashioned perfume than something modern or timeless. To be fair, the lasting power is good, and I can see how someone who loves rich, warm florals might enjoy this. But for me, it felt too dated and overpowering. I ended up washing it off after a few hours. Not the experience I hoped for. I’d say this one’s a pass for me, though I’m sure it has its fans. Just not the right match for my scent preferences.
