size 8 is true to size
I’m not sure why most of the reviews were saying this shoe is two sizes too small. I usually wear a wide size 7 or 7.5 and the size 8 definitely fits like an 8. And I didn’t find it too narrow but it was definitely too long. I was hoping the 8 would fit because all of reviews were saying to size up. These are beautiful, comfortable penny loafers. The leather is soft and didn’t feel like they would need to be broken in. They were also a perfect brown. Very sad to be returning them.

Could not get my feet into them
I normally wear a size 9M and could not get my feet into these. The opening is so small and tight. After using a shoe horn I got my feet into them, and although the length was fine, the fit was so narrow it was painful. Beautifully made but had to return.

Too small!
Not only this shoe is not true to size, it is two sizes too small. Nicely made though, solid and sturdy.

go one size larger
I read the reviews and went a size larger and got a perfect fit. It feels really snug even after going a size larger, but starts to break in later. It’s a beautiful shoe.
