Great gravel road shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first pair Catamounts and they did not disappoint! I am using these for runs on gravel roads and trails. I did take them out in the snow and they had go traction and surprisingly stayed dry. They have a firm fell as to be expected to the rock plate. I do prefer this over my Cascadia 17 that I have put over 700 miles in. I have 50 miles on the Catamounts and couldn’t be happier. Sizing is right on the mark with my Cascadia 17 size 12.

Weatherproof but wear thin socks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits true to size. Love how water and light mud just beads off it. The high tongue really heals stabilize the foot. The shoe is stiff though and the cushioning feels just slightly above average. This might be due to the the extremely thin insole - like 1/16th of an inch - which seems like an afterthought and provides no arch support.

Catamount vs Cascadia
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy exclusively Brooks and ordered the catamount thinking it was the cascades which I love. I experience knee pain with The catamount when walking for an hour.

Very good, lightweight, trail shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I consider the catamount 2 a perfect shoe. This version is still excellent…but notably stiffer and cushier underfoot. Some people will prefer that! It’s still very comfortable, light, springy, good grip and a good fit.

Run very tight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several different brooks shoes, and I am the same size in them all, these were about two sizes too small, so I had to return. Quality looked good as always.

My Favorite Shoe of 2025
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought 7 pairs of these and I absolutely love them. They have done beautifully on distances over 50 miles. The materials used last a long time and they look brand new even at 400 miles. Around 500 miles, the bottoms start to peel away, but I feel like I've gotten more out of them than I could have imagined. Great shoe! Continuously refreshing brooks looking for the next version.
