Dimosa Sleeveless Minidress

I ordered this dress in a size 2; I normally wear a 0 or 2. For reference, I wear a size 24/0 in pants. This dress is quite cute. It’s pretty baggy and shapeless and for the dress, I could easily have worn a size or two smaller - whoever designed it definitely had a person with a larger bust in mind (my bra size is 32 C). The part of this dress that I don’t understand, other than expecting a large bust on a size 2, is the belt. The non-adjustable, tiny, tiny belt that seems to be intended for a 20-22” waist. I could JUST fasten it. Given that the dress is quite baggy, the overall look with a large volume of material and a painfully cinched waist is really not great. Also given the large volume of material, a belt is essential if you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a sack. So, if one happened to have more normal body proportions and wanted to wear this dress, you would need to supply your own belt, but, why? I am torn on returning it, because it is cute and I do, in fact, possess belts - but for the brand and cost I think a person should be able to wear the belt the dress comes with. However, the sizing is utterly nonsensical.

I wanted this for an easy summer dress to bring on trips. While the length of the size 4 was great on my 5’3” frame, it unfortunately didn’t work for 2 reasons: 1) the fabric wrinkles extremely easily, making travel a challenge (and sweating will cause wrinkles) 2) the belt was too tight. I could have used the dress in a size 4 but the belt in a size 6. I have an hourglass frame and the dress fit as pictured, but the belt itself was just too snug.
