Not the pictured style of black leather
Leather is matte, like a work boot, not shiny/pebbly as pictured.

Could not put on
Have had this style before but with zip up back of heel and they were great. This version has 8nside zip w gusset that limited opening and with my high instep could not even put all the way on. Disappointing. Must return and keep searching.

Comfy, nice looking boot
I have been looking for a good walking boot for taking my daughter to school this fall and this one checks all the boxes for me: zippered for easy on/off, comfy, stylish, grippy heel and waterproof! I got the taupe color. My only concern is longevity because the seaming work doesn't look super neat and I've read other reviews of this brand which say the heels tend to wear out quicker than most but so far so good!
