14K Yellow Gold 4.5mm Paper Clip Chain Necklace

The third fine jewelry piece in a row I received from Nordstrom Rack that came unbranded/without a label, and in a generic box (at least this one has the decency to list “14k Gold” on the box insert so you think MAYBE you’re getting a product that’s real), but this necklace is not only completely different than pictured, it’s suspiciously lightweight, leading me to believe it’s not real gold or may just be plated. I don’t have the time or energy to take this to a jeweler to find out since it’s already not the look I thought I was purchasing. This isn’t a necklace of smooth finish links like the picture shows, instead, every other link is textured/ribbed creating a look that’s totally different. Super irritated, and combined with the questionable brand-less packaging, and the fact that all the other pieces by this brand that Nordstrom sells are advertised as plated pieces (albeit at much lower price points usually), and the weight feeling cheap, this is going straight back. There’s no way this is an almost $700 necklace.
