Modern Trench Coat

Perfect fit with room for a sweater--just what I wanted. It seems to be well-made & I love that it's rain resistant & washable.

The coat I bought was supposed to be SMOKE GREY but in reality it was green

Nice garment but some buttons came off before i even took it out of the plastic wrapping! So that makes me question the quality of the thread/sewing...

Item was exactly as pictured and fit perfectly.

It was too big, actually not very flattering. It was also missing the arm strap, and color not as expected. I'm 5'2, 125lbs and ordered the small

Excellent fabrics and structure nicely lined

Love this trench! I wanted a longer one and I absolutely love the Tan Portabella color--perfect for Fall. I originally ordered the small and it was a little big--the XS fit perfectly with still plenty of room for layering in the cooler months.

I loved the look of this coat in pictures, and it has a lot of features I like. The length is great for someone who’s tall (I’m 5’8”), the fabric and color (portabella) are luxe-looking, and I love the vent and storm shield on the back. However, what you cannot tell from photos is how heavy this trench is — much heavier than I expected, so I returned it.

The weight & workmanship (quality) of this trench are OK-the color shown on the Website is Way Off from what I received,,,it is Not a Warm Tan, which would have Orange mixed in—this Trench is Tan PORTABELLA—just a Medium Dark Tan, nothing special. The size medium did Fit me (I am 5’7” & 154lbs)..and yes, as other Reviewer’s have said “it is way too long” but I planned on having it altered if I were to keep it. The general Fit is Not Flattering to me Because of that Back Pleat, which once you sit in this trench, is going to Wrinkle Like Crazy, And just be a big Bulk of Material in the back. The buttons in the front are hidden BUT Are attached to a Strip of material that is Lighter in color than the rest of the trench so When worn open, that difference in color looks totally Weird..I paid the Sale price for this trench and so hoped it would “look special and different” than other trenches out there— But that is not the case,,,Returning.

Really nice feeling coat. I recently tried on an Avec Les Filles coat for a similar price and the quality was nowhere near as good. Luxury type material. I went back and forth over a M or L for a long time and bought the L based on the chest measurement. It’s slightly roomier than I hoped; I am an “hourglass” shape and about a 30 inch waist and the waist belt holes didn’t go tight enough. I hoped that because of the shape of the coat, it wouldn’t look odd or get the “pooching” out in the back you get with some coats to adjust it for curves — I was right, just the belt is the problem! I am going to keep it however and just use the belt as a tie. Will have room for thick sweaters underneath. It is a LONG coat. I’m 5’5” and it’s just barely a midi coat. Any longer would look silly and it will probably dominate any outfit. But it is a genuinely quality coat with a nice cut—it’s a big step up from a Gap, Madewell, etc coat. If I was made of money I would get it hemmed a little bit and another grommet put into the belt.
