Kids' Pre Venture 9 Sneaker

Runs large in size. I had been ordering size 5’s for years. But now 5’s are too big. I tried a 5 in kids to see if there was a difference (there wasn’t). I then tried 4.5 after reviewing the size chart and re-measuring my feet and they are still too big. I am now uncertain if I should now try a 4 or a 3.5 since a 4.5 was the recommendation for my foot length but was still too big. The shoes themselves are awesome though!

I've been wearing Merrell Moabs for about 15 years, but they keep getting more expensive! So I tried these instead. Almost half the price on sale! They fit decent (I have a narrow foot with a high instep), but the tread is slipperier than I expected. I went hiking on some rocky trails, and the rocks were slick underfoot. That is not my usual experience with the Moab. They are light and generally comfy, but for a trail shoe, I would expect a little more grip in the sole.
