Very disappointed with the sizing of this shoe. My husband has previously purchased several pairs of size 71/2 Asics. I ordered this shoe in a 71/2. The shoe does not fit, too small. His current pair of Asics are a 71/2. Why the change in sizing??

Comfortable for walking and running.
I'm a woman with a wide foot and bought these in black because I really like the women's version, but wanted a pair that didn't have the white sole. A 7.5 regular in men's is spot on the for a women's 8.5 wide. I wear these for walking and running and I'll definitely get another pair when these wear out. These shoes have just enough cushioning and support to be comfortable and keep my knees and feet happy, but not so much that it throws me off balance, which tends to happen in other athletic shoes.

Good Basic Running Shoe
I was reasonably satisfied with the Gel-Contend 9 for its looks and price range. It provides decent support for general use, but I can tell the difference between this shoe and the GT-2000-11, which is designed for overpronation. Appearance and quality are up to the company's usual standards. I found the width to be narrow.
