The Quality Control on these boots is awful. I ended up buying 2 pairs, one for me and one to gift. Both are going back. The white leather is glued on top of the golden leather underneath. Then the white leather is sewn on and cuts of a certain depth are punched. This is all clearly done by a machine. The next phase of Production is lifting out the cut pieces of white leather to reveal the gold underneath. This is where it all falls apart. The glue that was used to attach the white leather is not removed. It remains as a dirty looking detail around the edges of the gold leather. Some of the cut-outs aren’t removed at all, or only partially removed. I understand why boots that should be this beautiful and have no fit issues are on sale. There’s no Quality Control!! Even if you were to receive 2 “perfect boots”, you would still need the will and the knowledge of what products to use in order to remove unsightly glue residue from dozens of tight, differently shaped, difficult to access crevices in the entire foot and shaft of your boots, as well as bits of a gluey gauze that are the backing of the white leather that’s glued to the gold leather underneath. It’s really a shame!! With some extra care and Quality Control, these could have been absolutely stunning boots, Bridal Boots even, but as is they are not worth the money even at a sale price plus discount. They’re not finished. And the Customer shouldn’t have to figure how to Professionally Finish Cowboy Boots. Forget taking them to a Repair Shop. If they even take the job, they will charge you for hours and hours of labor
