Well-made boots with a major design flaw
These are well-made boots with a major design flaw. They are comfortable, the material quality is good, and the traction is excellent, as one would expect for a boot in this price range. The problem is with the design of the heel. If you look at the sideview picture, you will notice that the heel is tapered away from the boot and has a lip of about 1/8 inch which extends the heel. Presumably, this was designed to make the boot more stable. However, it has caused me to trip on a number of occasions, and it is particularly noticeable going up or down stairs. You would not think that 1/8 inch would make much difference, but it does. I'm going to try and grind this edge off the heels.

A solid choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots are a comfortable fit with an aesthetic that is muted and classy. I like how the lace eyelets can accommodate ladder lacing with minimal difficulty. These are my first Ariat product but will not be my last.

Winter Savior
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased these for my husband who's been wearing them to work and on hikes. They've kept his feet dry and warm in rain and snow (city conditions) and hold up well in slippery conditions. They look great and fit true to size. They're a gorgeous high quality boot that is really durable.

Great Boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good looking pair of boots and good build quality. They were comfortable on my feet the first time out, just wish they were a slight bit wider. I think they will break in and be just fine but I would have loved to have had a wide option to order which would have made these 5 stars. Looking forward to many years of use from these while 4 wheeling and camping.

Comfort, but quality does not hold up.
I purchased these boots in the summer around July and since then I’ve not been on any strenuous hikes, no wild conditions and already the glue holding the sides of the boot has started to come undone in places.
This reduces the waterproof label to meaningless. If water were to be present it could certainly get in. I’ve had these for around 6 months with no extenuating circumstances and already they aren’t lasting.
For this price point, I wouldn’t recommend.

Great comfort, Poor Quality
The boot is great in the sense of comfort. Love how they’re very comfortable compared to my previous preferred boots. Down side is the quality. I hike for a living and usually have boots last me 8-10 months. These boots ended up tearing the side and expose my foot just after having them for about 4months only. For the price their listed you would expect longer lasting boots
