Randolph Bit Loafer (Men)

Loved the shoe. Great color. Great sole. It was just 1/2 size too big and they didn't have a 9 in this color. Ended up getting a 9 in the solid brown color and it's a perfect fit. I'm usually a 10 in sneakers and 9 in loafers. The 9.5 was just the tiniest bit too big but I do have a smaller foot.

The Randolph Loafers, bit and penny, reviewers have commented on size--some saying to size up and some to not. What I found was the shoes vary slightly based on the sole type, which likely is also which factory they were made in. I have images of the same shoe with a Rendenbach sole, which is shorter and fits tighter in a ball/midsection of the foot and larger on the heel, and the standard Leather sole, which is a bit longer, narrower in the heel and more spacious in the ball of the foot. For me, I had to size up half a size (I'm normally a 9E in most shoes, including some AEs), but with AE loafers the 9.5D seems to fit the best with the Leather sole--the Rendenbach sole even in a 9.5D or 9D was too loose in the heel and and 9D was way too small in the rest of the foot. So for those of you wondering why the shoe seems to not fit like you'd expect, check the sole out and see if it aligns with the above.
