Park City Waterproof Boot (Men)

I've worn and somewhat abused these boots almost three times a week for two years, and they are fantastic. The leather quality is excellent, and they proved incredibly comfortable and durable in all weather: rain, snow, and driving wear aside. They provided great traction and always kept my feet protected. I deeply regret not buying multiple pairs and will definitely have this pair recrafted. This boot deserves more appreciation, and I hope a similar style returns soon.

Not a work boot. Not a dress shoe. Whatever "weatherproof leather" is, it's very thin and soft. It's like glove leather. Your foot will be wrapped in very soft leather, with poron under the sock liner, and a very soft wedge sole. This boot is made for comfort. Every step is well cushioned. It does have a leather midsole stitched to the welt. This should allow a local cobbler to resole the boot. The tongue is gusseted about halfway up. Your feet will be dry and you won't slip. Maybe the aesthetics of a white sole, won't be as pleasing if you're trying to wear it with a suit. But if it's a rainy day, your colleagues will understand that you needed a rainy day shoe. On my feet, in my Brannock device size, there was a little more room and length at the toe. Plenty of wiggle room. I can wear thicker socks, or two pairs of socks. It was still the right fit, because the ball of my foot was in the correct position. What you are not getting is the old fashioned Horween leather shoe, with a veg tan leather footbed insole, midsole, and outsole. The soft thin leather will not be as durable. Overall, a good boot. Not a great boot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear ankle braces and need a 3E so bought this pair ahead of it being discontinued, and actually needing them. That is based on one pair that is primary and another in for refurbishing so I like the boot. And, join the chorus of other customers wishing for the Park City to be continued.
