Lucca Tassel Loafer (Men)

This is such a beautiful shoe but the sizing is so off. Most Allen Edmond shoes I own are size 11.5D. Shoes on the 2016 last, I wear a 12D. Per the other reviews which said to order 1 to 1.5 full size smaller, i ordered a size 10. Even this size was a tad long in the length but I was fine with that. The issue was it was tight and narrow. If other widths were offered, likely a 9.5E or EE would have been perfect. I did take these shoes to a local cobbler who was able to widen them enough to make them wearable. With that said, the suede is high quality and the shoe is very well constructed. These shoes are probably best for people with narrow feet, however you will need to order at least a full size less than your normal shoe size.

I’m typically a 9 1/2 with loafers due to them stretching as I wear them over time. I’ve purchased several pairs of Allen Edmond loafers in a 9 1/2 with no issue. I’m not sure if it’s because these are sued or not, but I tried a 9 1/2 and I’m swimming in them. I a purchased a size 9 and same issue again. I’ve learned my lesson. Don’t buy sued loafers online in your usual size no matter the brand. Definitely going to buy a different brand of sued loafers IN STORE.

Don't get me wrong, shoes are quite good looking, but they were not what I was expecting from AE. Based on the comments I choose to lower one size my usual shoe sizing but, anyway, it was huge, not only by length, but also by width. The shoes look terrific, as long they are into their shoe trees, because they "open" a lot as you wear them. I had to put three inserts in every shoe and still, they don't fit correctly.
