The quality of the leather provides a really stable and durable finish. The width of the belt is on the thinner side for a wide belt if you’re looking for something really wide. Blotchy looks like a tortoise shell
I own approximately 8 Allen Edmonds belts and always start with this brand when looking for a new one. This is not a chili colored belt, It’s effectively multi colored, also like clouds were added or bleach was dropped on it. I can’t wear this to work. Returning and in search of another belt I guess.

Excellent quality
I was trying to get a black version of the brown belt I purchased two years ago and love. Not sure if I ordered incorrectly or not but the belt is not as supple as the brown version. Its very well made though - just not as supple
