Dena Ruched Off the Shoulder Gown

this dress currently retails for $795 at Nordstrom (not rack). i paid $290 after taxes at rack, what a deal, right? Not if you can't wear it. RACK shipped this $290 dress to me in a balled up mess in a plastic bag and another shipping plastic bag that looked like it had been run over by a car. I receive $20 dresses from jcrew in better shape than this. I wanted to wear it tonight for an event but cannot b/c it is so dirty, wrinkled, and smells like cheap perfume. There's also a powdery white stain. Why would you ruin a beautiful garment like this by shipping it like it's trash (literally looks like a bag of trash). Why would you sell it to a customer like it is a new item when it has clearly been worn.

I usually wear a 12 but bought the 14 so it would not be tight. I love the drape and the bias cut. The fabric isn’t my favorite, but the dress looked great on me so I think I’ll live with it. I’m 5 foot six about 150 pounds and slim hipped.

The cut and color of the dress are beautiful. It came in a plastic envelope and therefore, it’s so wrinkled as to be unwearable. It has been hanging in my closet with no change to the wrinkles so I cannot tell if the terrible wrinkles are a feature of the fabric or just the packaging. Given the price and the fact I bought it for an event that I will travel to, it’s going back. Sad.
