Two inside pockets and a zipper pocket. Two hidden outside pockets and a roomy phone pocket. The best is the zip closure. A. very long tail makes it easy to grab and close. But the actual length of the closure itself is short, so the sides come together or open quickly with no struggle. Eliminates everything I usually hate about top zipper closures. Holds a ton without appearing ungainly. Sides cinch as needed. East-west profile means there is little digging thru contents that have sunk. Stuff it and love it!
