I’m back for pair #2
I went a 1/2 size up and opted for the wide, and voila I couldn’t be happier with the fit, weight and muted tone. I use them on both hard court and clay and they are fine equally. Can’t beat the price.

Too Short
I never got to wear these shoes. I ordered my normal size 8W, just like the several pairs of golf shoes I have loved from NB. These shoes are too short for my right foot! They just fit my size 7W left foot. So I sent them back. (Full disclosure: I also tried the model 996v5 with the exact same result.) I'm not too excited about this trial-and-error process for finding court shoes that fit. Aside from that, the quality seems good, but I cannot speak to wear or comfort on the court.
