Very pleased
My review is for the Ecco Soft ombre/magnet/gravel sneaker, which is Navy color, and is not the grayish taupe version in the photo currently attached to this review. I own the taupe suede version as well and they fit the same. It is hard to find a navy leather sneaker that doesn't look like a bowling shoe, so I was pleased to find the last one in my size available anywhere. The navy color isn't quite the true dark navy that I had hoped. These are more on the grayish navy side, which makes them more neutral and they still blend well with navy clothing. This is my third pair of Ecco Soft sneakers and they are consistent in fit. The black leather ones--not suede--fit a little more snug, which I like. I wear a size 6.5M in almost all shoes and I purchased a size 6-6.5M (size 37) in this and my other Ecco Soft sneakers. The fit is excellent for me, so I would say that they may run slightly large, probably to accommodate medium thick socks. (I wear a size 7M in my running/walking shoes in other brands.) This shoe is substantial (more than a Ked's or Sperry sneaker) but not as chunky as an athletic sneaker. The shape and materials used for the foot-bed provide a lot of support for my feet and are comfortable for all day wear, even the first day I got them. It probably doesn't rise to the level of comfort and support of a top level athletic sneaker, and it is not as soft and squishy as some shoes you might find, but I am pleased with them for my older feet and I don't like to be uncomfortable. Some squishy soft shoes get packed down and aren't as comfortable 30 minutes later, but these stay the same and provide consistent support. My foot is narrow in the heel and wider (average) in the toe box, and this shoe does not give me heel slippage, yet has plenty of room in the toe box for my foot with a modest bunion. The Ecco Soft sneaker is apparently a well liked sneaker because they have continued to make it for several years and keep coming out with different color and material versions. (It may be a Danish-made shoe.)

Stiff and narrow
I ordered my usual size, and it took them a month to arrive, thanks to the U.S.P.S. I tried them on immediately. They are the stiffest shoes I've ever felt and are too tight. To say they are uncomfortable is an understatement. Even if they weren't tight I wouldn't keep them because of the stiffness. They're being returned.

I’m in love
Ecco is the best brand out there. I usually don’t like plain white leather tennis shoes as they can be hard and stiff but I love these shoes!!! They are dainty enough to be worn with casual outfits in the spring and summer, not bulky as I’m a teacher and can wear a tennis shoe to work. They are ample in the toe and have a good European sizing and style. They are not narrow or wide just right!

must buy sneakers
I was looking for soft leather sneakers which would be comfortable and flexible. Most leather sneakers I tried so far were very stiff, but these are very comfortable. Good quality leather, very recommend to buy.
