Longer Cook Times
I upgraded to this model from the basic model. The results are better, but be prepared for longer waits for rice. Even white rice takes a full hour to cook now, whereas my old Zojirushi was way quicker.

A little more $$ for a lot more quality
This Zojirushi Micom rice cooker replaces my last one, which has served me well for 17 years. So far this has been a great replacement and the STEEL CUT OATS setting is awesome. Great quality product and a nice price.

I love this rice cooker!
So far I’ve made brown rice, GABA brown, steel cut oats, and a grain blend, and they’ve all turned out fantastically! It’s so nice to be able to set it up and walk away, or use the timer to have it ready whenever I want. It’s made meal prep less stressful. Definitely recommend!

Am not at all disappointed
I purchased this for the GABA brown rice setting (maybe it will help lower my LDL) and for the steel cut oats setting. And I am not at all disappointed. Fluffiest rice and oats I have ever had (the McC...s brand; not the quick cooking stuff). Can make enough for leftovers that can actually be eaten on the second day. Size is perfect (fits nicely on the top shelf of the cabinet where lost sox go). Easy to clean up. And energy efficient. Will try all the settings at some point. Amazed at how many Zojirushi cookbooks there are out there, too.
