Uptown Hybrid Penny Loafer (Women)

This is a beautiful loafer with soft leather (love the suede upper) and great arch support and I love the fact that it is lightweight and easily packed in a suitcase as I travel a fair amount. Unfortunately, it does not work with my foot type: wide toe box and narrow heel. I measure as an 8 1/2 and that's the size I bought, but my toes came to the top without socks. I found the toe box to be narrow as well. I am somewhere between an 8 1/2 and 9. If I were to size up to a 9, it would not work for me, either as my heel definitely wouldn't stay in place. I find it difficult to get the correct fit in Vionic shoes. I would like to see wider toe boxes on their shoes as I have bunions. I do appreciate the arch support and their stylish options, but obviously slip-ons won't work for me. Sadly, I will return them.

I originally bought this in cream leather and they were so comfortable I bought another pair in grey suede. I wish the soles were not all white…they used to have suede options with soles that matched the shoe color…I’d love that for both leather and suede to make them a bit dressier. But other than that, I have zero complaints. I have literally walked miles and miles all over Italy and Greece and NYC in these, straight out of the box. They are my go to travel shoes and if they ever change the sole color, I’d buy more in other colors (and might even if the soles stay white). Not sure if they run large or if the leather is just so soft it gives a bit more than normal. I ordered my true size and they don’t slip and I can still wear with or without socks.
