Confusing

Couldn’t figure out the symmetry of this bag? The bottom of bag was ~3” gradually tapering across to ~2”. The top folds over and hooks but didn’t align. A mistake or design feature? The strap material was flimsy! Thought the price point was too high for final product. Returned.
