Midsole Drop: 6mm. Classified as a mid-drop measurement, it pushes your foot forward to support a more natural mid/forefoot strike.

Lower: Reduced midsole and lower heel-to-toe drop unleash the ZoomX foam's full power to transform cushioned landings into explosive forward motion. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.</p><br><p><b>Lighter Upper</b></p><p>Engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.</p><br><p><b>Lighter Midsole and Outsole</b></p><p>Midsole bulges at the heel to help reduce weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride. We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.</p><br><p><b>What's New About the Vaporfly 4?</b></p><p>We made minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains.
