Upland Sneaker

This style is my favorite so far. Love the fit on my narrow feet. If between sizes I'd recommend the bigger one. In most shoes I'm m7/w8.5, never been bigger but sometimes I'll need to size down. Upland fits splendidly in the uppermost range of my size. They fit exactly how I want a sneaker to fit... hugging everywhere, just enough wiggle room for my pointy, boney toes, while still solidly planted, no slippy sliding inside the shoe. I do have a narrow foot though so I can imagine others finding the Upland to feel small. If between sizes go with the biggest one that you usually wear. If you have a wide foot or need a roomy toebox then honestly those beefier feet would prolly thank you for choosing a different style. For narrow feet though... these are stellar.

Stoked for this style reminiscent of my 1st Vans as a kid back in 2002. Perfect blend of form+chunk. Love the fat tongue but it also hugs the foot close when laced for that. The lace I do makes it an easy slip-on but still perfectly tight. Ordered my usual size. Can't wait for my 2nd pair in all suede instead of mostly leather. Leather had a break-in period but super comfy now. I imagine the suede will be softer.

I work 6 sometimes 7 days a week. Pretty long days. Part of my job includes spraying glue through an airless paint sprayer. The over spray destroys most shoes about every 5 weeks at most. Leather boots, canvas shoes, I've used everything. I wear vans almost exclusively anyway, so I decided to try them at work and they last longer than everything else I've used and theyre the most comfortable. I love vans.
