U Old Skool Platform Sneakers

I bought these in my normal size 6.5 and they are 2 whole sizes larger. I am always a 6.5 and these looked like clown shoes on me. I didn’t see a platform on the photo which is why I purchased them, I didn’t want a platform but I am curious to know why they’re labeled as such. They are also labeled on here as women’s and are clearly not women’s shoes. On the inside tag it clearly says men’s. I will exchange for a 5 hoping they work because I am a 4.5 in boys, and not available on here. I do love the emerald color, it isn’t a bright green which I love. Hoping the 5 works because I really love the color.
