Four stars because this is an honest shoe. Not a great shoe, but a solidly built, good-looking shoe. For the on-sale price of about $50, I think it's a great value. It looks good in-person. The leather upper is quite light. The shoe overall is also quite light. That can be a good thing. Also, it speaks to the materials. The upper is definitely not as durable as more expensive shoes, but it feels like it will hold up just fine in casual conditions. Consistent stitching, consistent overall build quality. The sole is reasonably well assembled with zero visible defects. It looks and feels good on my foot. I'm a bit of a shoe aficionado. I'm plagued by the consumerism disease when it comes to certain things. (Shoes, leather jackets,etc.) Incidentally, these shoes look good with certain brown leather jackets. While they are a value buy, they still look complimentary worn with a thousand dollar leather jacket.

​I am extremely disappointed with the quality of these shoes. After only 4 months of wearing them, the sole is separating, the material is peeling and flaking off, and the heel has worn out prematurely and excessively, implying poor construction materials. These are poor quality and clearly not made to last. Save your money and buy a different brand.
