Trim Fit Linen Suit Separates Dress Pants

I'm a long time Nordstrom member. I told the sales person that i would buy the slacks but they needed alterations I asked the sales person if Nordstrom still did free alterations ( in Illinois they did) and and she said Yes. Then at payment, my new card didn't work. She told me that I needed to open a new account but I would receive a $40 discount. I opened the account made the purchase then she informed me the credit would be on my next purchase. I asked again about the alterations and she just stared at me. I realized she had no idea what i was talking about. She didn't know what it meant. She then asked another of Nordstrom staff if they did alterations. She contacted the UTC location at well. She then said she was sorry but knew a good tailor. That's when I left. Truly disappointed in the staff and store.
