disappointing
Inner sole cushion is very thin and there is not much of a sole support. The cushion comes barley glued down, it can be lifted out of a new shoe. The shoe leather is paper thin and doesn't seem like it will hold up very long. The depth of the outer sole, bottom of shoe is too thin, I don't see this lasting long. The stitching around the sole will not keep water out well. I am returning them. Disappointed because they look nice but not sturdy as I hoped for and need.

Great, but rubs my ankle skin off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They look great. Generally comfortable standing still. But as soon as you start to walk in them, the taper (in) of the ankle hole tends to rub the skin off my ankles, even through thick socks.

Disappointed. Falling Apart After 3 Months of Use
Very disappointed in how these shoes performed. After three months, the inside began to wear down and form holes in the lining. Additionally, the outer coating of the laces have fallen off. Now the shoes do not remain tied for more than a couple of minutes and new laces are required. I would expect this type of wear to happen after years of use, not three months; especially when I purchased them for $100+. Very disappointed. I thought that Timberland was a brand of quality, but seeing these shoes break down after only a couple of months tells me otherwise.
