I would say that they are true size.NO Need to size size up for me I have a M slim foot the shoe does not rub my toes and they have a roomy toe box which is very important for me bc I have long toes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up a pair of Timberland sneakers, and I have to say, they've completely changed my perspective on the brand. While everyone knows them for their iconic work boots, their entry into the casual "tennis shoe" space is an absolute home run.

Great looking shoes. Very soft leather, comfortable right out of the box. Surprisingly feather light - can pack them for every trip. I ordered half size smaller and they still feel half size too big. I'll be able to wear thick winter socks so I'm keeping them. But I could have ordered a full size smaller. Not sure how they will hold up but first impressions are all good. Getting a pair for my sister as a Xmas gift.
