Faux Suede Car Coat

Unlined and all raw edges and threads poking out. I got it in Black on sale for $40... but it seriously felt like something from SHEIN. I saw many good reviews but I'm guessing they were for an older line of these...if you're considering buying in 2024 on, DON'T. I can't speak for the other colors but don't waste your money on the black one. Looks so cute on the model but like crap up close.

Lightweight with a little bit of stretch. Easy to wear, and looks unfussy and chic. One star off because it’s unlined - the facing at the back is prone to flipping upwards and sticking out above the collar if I don’t consciously make sure it’s tucked in when I put it on. I will likely eventually either trim it or stitch it down. A lovely piece for the price.

I got this in black, looking for something to wear over a dress. I think it will work well for that, although I'm planning to replace all the buttons with black ones first. I think the light-colored buttons make it look casual. I got Size S, and it fits well and is flattering. For reference, I'm 5'2.5" tall, 34C, 122 lb. The sleeves are slightly long, and since they are unhemmed now, I may roll them under and stitch them.

I would have passed this online but I bought it in store and got so many compliments. The picture just does not do it justice. It is a light jacket which is great for California, or maybe fall for cold areas.

I am 5'8" and 140 lbs and have broad shoulders. I usually wear a medium and sometimes a large. I had to exchange for a small. Beautiful jacket and very classic. Has beautiful feel to it and even though it is not technically lined, it is easy to get on and off. Love it!

I’ve seen recent reviews about raw edges, no hemming, etc. I ordered the Olive car coat and my sleeves are not raw edged. It’s a VERY soft jacket and looks stunning in person. I’m sad to see so many inconsistencies with quality, but the coat I received is perfect. It’s a pretty light-weight coat, but it’ll be perfect for brisk fall days. The olive color is absolutely gorgeous, too. I’m 5’7” and 130lbs. I ordered size S and it fits perfectly.

This was a potential gift. Unbelievable low quality. There are no finished seams. All seams are raw edges. They put two pieces of fabric together and straight stitched together. This wouldn’t pass a Middle school sewing class. Huge disappointment - Even at the sale price.

I'm so torn on this coat... it is everything all the reviews have said - silky, pretty, can dress up or down, fits true to size, gorgeous color, but the stitching is so poor! At the top, near the first button, the material is splitting apart, so it looks very old and cheap. The inside doesn't have a solid liner, so you can see all the stitching! On one side, the pocket flaps over the inside 'liner', so you can see it if the coat blows open (i.e. in the wind). I really want to like it, keep it, and have the sleeves tailored to fit me, but I just can't get past the horrible inside.

So rich and luxurious - absolutely love this for fall!

Great piece for layering or to use as a light covering. Very soft, and gives the appearance of suede. It is not for frigid temps unless multiple layers are worn underneath. I've never gone wrong with Tahari brand.

Soft. Stretchy, yet refined cut. I love this. Yes, it’s unlined, but if it were lined, I think it wouldn’t be as stretchy and comfortable to wear. At a $40 price point, to have a lightweight fall jacket to put over T-shirts, or a light blouse, that looks a little bit refined, but not too much, with a splash of chic, it’s just what I needed. Great, easy addition to my wardrobe. FYI, I’m 5’7”, 150 lbs. I like things to fit a bit looser so I bought the extra large. Love it.
