Warm and dry!
I wore my new Stride Waterproof Parka for the first time this morning, and it did not disappoint. When I headed out the door at 5am for a 5 mile walk, it was 48 degrees Fahrenheit with a light steady rain which continued for the entire walk. Underneath I wore a long sleeved, medium-weight running shirt. The Stride Waterproof Parka kept me warm and completely dry. I wore a baseball cap under the hood to protect my eyes from the rain. The hood was comfortable and stayed in place the entire time. I have an athletic build with broad shoulders and my measurements 36-29-36, 5’ 4” height, 135 lbs weight. The medium fits me perfect with room for additional layers underneath.

Misadvertisment
This parka is not not light as advertised. It is made of heavy duty/heavy weight canvas army tarp. In calfs , where it is reinforced with stitches, it's not flexible.

very nice jacket
Not sure what happened, I ordered the dark forest green, not the heath green, the hoods are different and colors are also different, but after I received the heath green, I’m really liking it, I really don’t like receiving something that I didn’t order, again not sure what happened, but this time it’s ok that NR sent the wrong jacket, the jacket is so cute and comfortable on me, and I’m glad that I received the lighter green…

This coat is EVERYTHING
So happy with this raincoat, it delivers on all counts. Looks great, super features, like a cinch in the lining to make it tighter, awesome hood that really protects my head (and more importantly, hair), extra snaps at wrist to keep sleeves dry and it's actually fully waterproof as opposed to water resistant which is an important distiction! The color is gorgeous and actually quite neutral.
I ordered the medium so on a chilly day, could fit a sweatshirt underneath without being snug.

Finally purchased it!
I finally purchased the Stride Waterproof Parka after over a year of keeping an eye on it. I read all the reviews to get an idea of what size to order and based on what I read, I thought XS would be OK. Not so, this jacket is REALLY roomy! I definitely need an XXS. Alas, not currently in stock. In all other aspects, this is a great looking jacket though I agree the hood is rather voluminous! Have to return so can’t comment on how waterproof it is.

Big but comfy
I love the color. I bought small and xsmall. The small is pretty big but I can layer more under it compared to the xsmall. I like the fleece lining in the pockets. The jacket is thinner than I thought but I like the length.

Love this jacket
Great jacket, the material looks like it will last. I have not worn it in heavy rain, but it was great in drizzle and wind. it runs a bit large. I am petite and the jacket is longer than shown in the photo, but I like the coverage.
