Lauretta Pleated Waist Linen Maxi Dress

The stylist suggested this dress but I thought it would be unflattering. I was wrong. The waist cinches in with a nice thick wide elastic. The sleeves come down on your arm so you don’t need a jacket which lets the dress stand alone with a nice flattering silhouette. The problem with these for by body type is usually too much fabric. The v neck isn’t too low and the pockets are a nice feature as well. I can’t wait to wear it next week to an outdoor art festival.

I purchased this in store, so easy and comfortable. Tons of compliments. Bought both colors due to it being a simple yet elegant dress. The sizing was a little off IMO, I am generally an 6-8 depending on the cut of a garment. This dress I figured the small would work since I have a small waist, bigger hips. Tried the S in the natural and it was short and snug, the Medium was better. The black dress however the Small fit perfect. I was swimming in the M black. I ordered both a small and Medium in the natural (the one in store had a mark on it) I’ll keep whichever fits best, time will tell as I have not received it yet. The small may have been an XS and mismarked. For reference I am 5’7” 148# 47 y/o Sz 6/8 in Veronica Beard. 28-29 in denim. Hope this helps.
