I got lucky with the size but it's not worth taking the risk. Nordstroms will charge you to return items they misrepresent online. You are better off shopping elsewhere.

Cute color but uncomfortable
I love the pink and black combination but it hurts. The back of the shoe is very rough and I only standing and barely walked and gave me blisters. Too bad .

Cute but runs large
I'm and avid Sorel fan (about 12 pairs of different styles) and wear an 8. I got these in size 8 as well. They are about 1/2 to whole size larger. I tightened the shoe strings quite a bit which helped with the width and heal, but they still feel a little larger. I'll just need to wear thicker socks
However, the shoes themselves are very cute and constructed well. The top around the ankles are stiff but I anticipate they will soften (that has happened with other styles). They will be perfect for rainy days, and yes, they are a bit heavy. Overall, I like them, but they are not TTS.

... but runs narrow in the toe area. I would recommend a size up. I ordered an 8.5 (my normal size) and the shoe rubbed my toes on the outside of my foot uncomfortably, so I had to return.
