Self Hem Merino Wool Blanket

I needed a warm winter blanket here in Chicago. I read hundreds of articles about alpaca, cashmere, lamswool, breeds of sheep and types of wool, and all the blankets and comforters on the market. This blanket is a true 100% Merino Wool. It is very soft and not scratchy at all. I purchased this one because it was decently priced at about $200, fairly weighty at 380 GSM. YES, I EMAILED MELANGE TO FIND THIS INFORMATION. It is specifically made of only Merino, the softest kind of lamswool, and true American sized. It's not super thick, but incredibly WARM. Alpaca blankets made in Peru and much smaller in size. Wool blankets from wool mills are too expensive and not always all Merino. When it says lamswool, it does NOT mean Merino, and thus are a bit scratchy. I know because I have those too. And I have sensitive skin. Wool filled comforters are nice but the 3 that I had were all ruined in dry cleaning, even though the tag said OK. If you don't want to pay hundreds of dollars more, this one is a very good choice.
