A sharkskin fabrication and hand pick stitching distinguish a tailored-fit suit that's designed with peaked lapels and double-breasted construction for a classic, timeless look. The flat-front trousers taper smartly to the hems to keep the silhouette crisp and clean.
Fabrication: Sharkskin is a twill fabric made of natural or synthetic fibers and woven with a two-tone mix of darker and lighter yarns that give it a pearlescent sheen. Visually textured and silky to the touch, sharkskin brings a distinctive polish and an old-school feel to suits, sport coats and other formalwear.
Formality: Black- or white-tie occasions that require a tuxedo or solid suit.
Drop: Eight inches. The drop is the difference between the chest size of a suit or tuxedo jacket and the waist size of the accompanying trousers. For instance, a size 40 (whether Regular, Long or Short) jacket with an eight-inch drop pairs with size 32 [40 minus 8] trousers.
