They are suede, padded and very nice.
I really like these boots. They are amply padded and that’s what I was looking for. The description said they suede but it doesn’t feel like normal suede. I went to Rockport’s website and they are suede. Nice size heel. I wear a 8.5M most of the time but ordered a 9M because I’ll be wearing fleece lined tights.

not sure this is real suede
The description says suede, but I immediately had doubts when opening the box. The feel and look seemed like faux suede, and it did not smell like real suede at all. It smelled like a synthetic material. I ordered a half size up for wearing with socks and taking account the narrow toe box. This fits well and feels cushioned. The top part is stiff and feels like it will bruise my shins. I love the look of these boots, but I’m not sure if I will keep these.
