Weird design, I returned them
Ok I used to love Rhone's shorts designs, but this design was frankly too weird and impractical to use. They must have had some reason to make the phone pocket *under* your shorts making it unnecessarily difficult to access, but whatever that reason was I never worked it out.

Nice shorts, some long run limitations
I’m 6’1” 185lb and usually wear a medium bottoms and the medium fits great. I’ve worn them for a few runs now including two long runs. They are very comfortable, liner is snug and the shorts themselves feel silky. The phone pocket on the right thigh liner is big enough for my phone, and the pocket on the left has a flap that closes it and is big enough to hold a couple gels (could also hold a small wallet but I haven’t tried that while running). Items feel secure while running and I don’t notice any bounce while running. The small zipper pouch holds my key.
Only cons:
- on my longer runs (12+ miles) I started getting some chaffing.
- the outer layer rides up while running on the inside. Doesn’t impact running but when I look down I don’t love the visual.
