Relaxed Straight Leg Jeans

These jeans fit pretty true to how other Democracy jeans fit, so I'd ultimately go with your normal size in this brand. If between sizes, I'd size down, as they were a little less snug than I'm used to. I bought these jeans because of the color, and in real life, I think the color is pretty accurate to the pictures. I was also excited about the patch pockets, which is a look I happen to love on pants. However, these pockets were odd in that the pockets sharply angled downward, creating a weird look, which in my opinion is too hard/harsh for the soft color and overall look of the pants. I debated keeping these because of the color, but sadly decided to return.

I bought these in my regular size 12 and loved them when they arrived, but they were too loose. So I ordered a 10. Still too loose. Finally, I ordered the 8, a size I don’t think I’ve ever been able to wear, and they fit perfectly. But, if I loose a couple of pounds or these stretch out during the day, I could imagine even a 6 (gasp!) fitting. I’m 5’6” and these hit right around my ankle. They are loose through the thighs, so wide, hippy women like me—size down for the waist because the hips and thighs will still be loose.

I love these pants! Beautiful color, they look expensive. They are pretty stretchy. I ordered a 10 and they look ok but with how stretchy they are I’m worried about them stretching out as I wear them. I think I’m going to size down to an 8. I’m usually between medium and large in bottoms depending on the fit.

The overall style is cute. The color looks more beige than off white. I am 5 ft 4 in and 125 lbs, short torso and wider at the bottom. I normally wear a 4/6 so I ordered a 2 according to the reviews. The pants were very loose at the waist and the length was between cropped and a normal pant. The width of the legs was wide from waist to ankle but it was unflattering.
